SEO is the short term abbreviated for “Search engine optimization.” This means the process of increasing site rank on search engines for a particular search query. The better ranking your site has on the search engine the more likely you get the traffic and prospects or your loyal customers.

Search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing use AI bots to fetch data from the web pages of the website, after collecting data they put them in an index. Now the algorithm works to maintain the order of ranking of indexed WebPages in the search result for a given query.

These search engine algorithms work in a manner to provide relevant and authentic pages to the users to ensure the worthy experience of searching. It helps in optimizing your site accordingly to the factors taken into account by an algorithm which makes it easier to rank pages on the search results.

It is also termed Organic Search engine marketing which makes it different from Paid ads or Google ads where you can pay a bidding amount to rank high.

It’s a fundamental part of digital marketing because people conduct trillions of searches every year, often with commercial intent to find information about products and services. Search is often the primary source of digital traffic for brands and complements other marketing channels.
